Description of Elliott Wave Principle - 20th Anniversary Edition

The Wave Principle was developed by Ralph Nelson Elliott in the 1930s and 1940s. The basic concept of the Principle is that stock market prices rise and fall in recognizable patterns which can be linked together into waves. Thus the Wave Principle is an analytical tool describing how the stock market behaves, and it can, therefore, be used as a forecasting method. Through time, Elliott's work went out of print, and material on the Principle became hard to find. It was not until 1978, with "The Elliott Wave Principle" by Robert Prechter, that the theory once again became part of the consciousness of market traders and technical analysts, particularly in North America. The Principle has been refined and enhanced with each edition, and the authors have continued that work into this 20th anniversary edition. All the predictive expectations for the future have remained exactly as in the first edition to allow new readers to investigate both the successes and errors in the forecasting presented by the authors. Using the analytical tools of Elliott Wave, the authors predict the imminent onslaught of a great bear market to follow the current bull market which has been experienced over the past decade.
