Description of The Motley Fool UK Investment Guide

'If you read only one book about personal finance, make it this one' - "Mail On Sunday." 'This book is geared entirely to the UK market and it is difficult to see how anyone could fail to benefit' - "Mail on Sunday". Scared of shares? Baffled by brokers? Intimated by ISAs? Don't panic - the Fools can help! In this no-nonsense guide, the Motley Fools show you how to invest your money wisely for a profitable future. If your idea of investment begins and ends with a savings account at a building society, then this is the book for you. Using practical examples and with their usual off-the-wall style, the Fools cut through financial jargon and take you through the basics of investing. The Foolish book will show you how to: sort out your personal finances; decide on your investment objectives; choose companies to invest in; and interpret the numbers in a company report. With advice delivered in plain English, and prepared with humour and mind-boggling facts, this book provides the bricks with which to build a secure financial future. Bruce Jackson and David Berger co-founded the Motley Fool UK in 1997.
The highly acclaimed Motley Fool UK website has won the New Media Age 1999 'Best Finance Site', Creative Freedom Awards 1999 'Best Electronic Media', the Net Magazine Award 2000 'Best Finance Site' and Investor's Week 2001 People's Choice Award.
