Customer Reviews of The Credit Default Swap Basis

  • With all due respect, but this book is not telling you anything at all. It does not take in consideration that there is a MAJOR set back to the basis and that is when liquidity dries out and people want to get out of their cash positions because they cannot fund them anymore. BILLIONS have been lost in 2008 because funding was not available. As a consequence people who thought to have a default riskless carry trade of 20 or 30 basis points ended up losing multiple POINTS!The book tells you basiscs only and has to be revised based on recent developments.
