This manual is designed to take you through all the steps necessary for learning to trade the American 30-year Treasury Bond. It is written for the person who knows little or nothing about trading. But it will also prove invaluable for the many traders who have been 'at it' for quite some time, but are still struggling - still searching for the Holy Grail!

The methodology you will learn is surprisingly simple. Users of elaborate indicators or complex systems may even get irritated - most will be very refreshed by the approach. The manual is full of illustrative material. There is as much writing on many of the annotated charts as there is on the pages of text. The author believes very much that a picture is worth a thousand words; but, he feels sure, it is an even better picture if all the main aspects on it are pointed out, clearly.

It is a working tool. It is designed to be as the author would like to have had it, when he was a novice.

The manual is spiral bound so that it can lie flat, open at the right page, while you are at your workstation. All the illustrations, which are from Omega SuperCharts, are either on the left-hand page, facing inwards, or are centre spreads, with the pages facing the same way, so that you do not have to keep moving the book, to follow from one page to the next - and back.

This is a method, not a system. It works on the T-Bonds extremely well, as will become self-evident. It may or may not work on other markets. But the main thing is that you will learn to read the tape. And that's the way to learn to trade.

During the first seminar Bill Eykyn gave in London, based on his manual and trading the T-Bonds, one person pleaded that sales of the manual should be limited, because otherwise 'if everyone knows and uses it, the methodology won't work.' Bill's response was that the size of the T-Bond market is so vast, it really doesn't matter. No two people are ever going to take the same trade, with the same stop loss or profit objective, at the same time, and the liquidity of the T-Bonds is incredible, he explained. There are times, he continued, when the Bonds have, in one five minute bar, done the whole of a day's business on the FTSE Futures!

The theme all the way through is that it doesn't matter why it happens, it matters only that it does happen. Therefore it matters, you learn to read the tape. Learn to make money out of it.
